Behind the studio

I’m Steph: dog-obsessed cat owner, lover of salty snacks, and cold weather enthusiast. I buy wine for the label and always carry a tape measure (just in case). Life’s good with two gingers by my side; one human, one feline. Keep scrolling for the full story 👇🏼

Mosey’s roots

Hi, I’m Steph Finauer (“fin-hour,” if you’re wondering). I’ve always had a thing for design – it’s the only path that’s ever felt right. After graduating from uni in 2012, I spent the early part of my career in roles I enjoyed, but something always felt like it was missing.

Enter: Freedom Furniture. Designing for a brand I genuinely loved, surrounded by beautiful products, finally felt like the right fit. That role led to the next chapter at Williams-Sonoma Inc, where I spent seven years working with an incredible eCommerce team and eventually stepped into a Senior Designer role.

Early 2025 after a decade in Sydney, I found myself missing the calm, the space, and the slower pace of the South Coast where I grew up. So I packed up, moved home, and with a clearer head and a fresh perspective, set out to build something of my own.

Mosey is where all my skills come together – calm, capable design made accessible for businesses big and small.

Thanks for stopping by!

The foundations

Design isn’t just about how things look – it’s about how the process feels too.

Mosey’s secret sauce? Clear communication, smooth workflows, and just enough structure to keep the creative stuff flowing.

  • Clear, respectful communication makes the whole process smoother – for everyone. I value honest conversations, timely updates, and making sure we’re always on the same page from start to finish.

  • Yes, it should look good – but good design does more than that. I approach every project with curiosity and care, making sure the creative solution not only feels right but functions beautifully too.

  • Kindness and professionalism go hand in hand. A little courtesy can go a long way in building a great working relationship, and I bring that energy to every client and project.

  • Nobody likes chaos (especially not me). I’ve refined my workflow over the years to be streamlined, transparent and collaborative – so you know what’s happening, when, and why.
